A concert recording from the church of the German UNESCO World Heritage Site Maulbronn monastery, July 9, 2010. Featuring 3 important works from 19th century composers, and the world premiere of a new piece by English cellist, conductor and composer Stephenson (b.1949) entitled Concerto for Cor Anglais & String Orchestra. The work has 3 movements: a slow introductory 1st movement, followed by a traditionally sounding intimate and highly Romantic 2nd movement, followed by the finale.
