Notes & Reviews:

"Perfect Purcell on a superlative release chock-full of treasures... . add to the aforementioned Jacob's utterly sympathetic theorbo accompaniments and you have one of the best Purcell recitals to have hit the shelves in years." - William Yeoman, Gramophone, 'Editor's Choice'

American Record Guide, July / August 2012
Koningsberger is Dutch, but his English is impeccable; his voice is mellifluous and his phrasing and articulation of rhythm show stylistic elegance (e.g. his sprightly expression of the "Scotch Snap" so characteristic of Purcell's writing). Their thoughtful ornamentation of 'I Attempt from Love's Sickness to Fly' is a good example of the care and sensitivity here. The sound is warmly intimate.
