Notes & Reviews:

The wartime compositions presented on this CD were created in the first years of Stravinsky's existence in the U.S. after his relocation from Paris in 1939 soon after the breakout of World War II. He was aware of the ongoing war from news reports and was concerned for his children who remained in Europe. Stravinsky was known as the proudest Russian in Hollywood.
