Notes & Reviews:

A fascinating evocation of a 16th century Spanish court, where noblemen and women expressed their feeling in music of a wide range of emotions, from the deepest sadness (usually love-related) to merry joyfulness. Delitiae Musicae, the two players, have specialized in this repertoire, and are performing it worldwide to great public success at Early Music Festivals.

American Record Guide, July / August 2012
Delitiae Musicae play with a convincing mastery. Their improvisations are completely idiomatic, their technical command sure, and they clearly love this repertory. If you can appreciate the nuance of this quiet but fascinating world, you'll enjoy this recording.
