Organist Murray Somerville was born in London, raised in Africa and studied in Munich, at Oxford and at the New England Conservatory. Prior to becoming director of music at St. George's Church in Nashville, he was university organist and choirmaster at Harvard. He is artistic director of Music City Baroque, Nashville's professional ensemble for historically informed performance.
