Notes & Reviews:

Volume 3 from the series of the Welte-Philharmonic- Organ, which was originally built for the Britannic ocean liner, is dedicated primarily to entertainment on board a steamer. But this recording also pays tribute to the sister ship of the Britannic, the Titanic, which sank nearly 100 years ago in 1912. Among other things, we hear compositions written to commemorate the tragedy, such as Nearer my God to thee, which was supposedly heard on board the Titanic after it had begun to sink into the North Atlantic.
