- Georg Biller (Cantor)
Notes & Reviews:
Georg Christoph Biller is the 16th cantor at St. Thomas after J.S. Bach. He is fortunate to choristers from his own choir perform these work's challenging soprano arias. The St. Thomas Boys Choir Leipzig guarantees an authenticity for this music which can achieve its full effect only in this very setting: Bach, his music and its performance are deeply rooted in the history of St Thomas Leipzig.
American Record Guide, November/December 2012
Of these three the Biller Leipzig performance is the safest bet. Others to consider would include Rilling (modern instruments) and Gardiner (period).
