Notes & Reviews:

Naïve Classique presents a special project dedicated to the gorgeous voices that enlighten masterpieces of the baroque masters, featuring Sandrine Piau, Marie-Nicole Lemieux, Karina Gauvin, Julia Lezhneva, Sara Mingardo, Verónica Cangemi, Lucy Crowe, and more.

American Record Guide, July / August 2012
I have reviewed most of the recordings drawn on here, so, like many potential buyers, I already have them on my shelves. For people not so well fortified, this set may serve as a tempting shopping list. But it can have its own justification. I began listening in dread of an overdose of déjà vu. But I did get caught up in the simple pleasures of reveling in great singing of a range of great music.
