Notes & Reviews:

The Peterborough Cathedral Choir features music that has royal associations. This is very appropriate as both Queen Katherine of Aragon and Mary Queen of Scots are buried in the cathedral. This is a reissue of an original release on Abbey/Alpha Records.

American Record Guide, September / October 2012
The performances are respectable, but better recordings of these familiar works are available. What makes this worth having is some of the less familiar works. It isn't easy to find recordings of 'Te Deum in B-flat' by William Harris, 'Benedicam Domino' by Robert Johnson, and 'O Lord our Governor' by Healey Willan - and all are fine works.

Notes & Reviews:

Recording information: Peterborough Cathedral (1987).

Includes work(s): te deum in b flat / music for queen kathe by various composers.
