Notes & Reviews:

Max Bruch was a renowned composer of choral music and in England considered a worthy successor to Handel and Mendelssohn. He is largely remembered today though for his Scottish Fantasy and FirstViolin Concerto, which with its irresistibly infectious finale, is one of the best-loved in the entire repertoire.

Gramophone
Kyung-Wha Chung is a formidable player.
