Notes & Reviews:

After the successful release of the album 'Love Songs', soprano Dorothee Mields now presents a second album dedicated to the music of Henry Purcell. She is joined by conductor Wolfgang Katschner and the Lautten Compagney. In this sophomore release, Mields performs Purcell favorites which focus on the pain that love can bring.

American Record Guide, September / October 2012
I recommend that you pick up this very attractive presentation, as it is the most creative achievement in terms of Elizabethan songs that I've seen in several years. The sound is excellent. One very minor drawback is that the accompaniment sometimes seems too central in relation to the voice.
