Album Notes

The fourth collaborative effort between composer Alexandre Desplat (The King's Speech) and director Florent Emilio Siri (Hostage), Cloclo is the official soundtrack to the 2012 biopic of the legendary chanteur Claude François. Its 19 tracks feature 12 performances from the late French singer/songwriter himself, including signature hits "Le Lundi au Soleil," "Alexandrie Alexandra," and "Comme d'Habitude," the latter of which also appears here in the English-language versions ("My Way") from Frank Sinatra and sound-alike Tom Evers, alongside some of his favorite songs from the likes of Otis Redding ("Respect"), James Brown ("Think"), and KC & the Sunshine Band ("I'm Your Boogie Man") and 16 minutes of original music written especially for the Jérémie Renier-starring film. ~ Jon O'Brien
