Throw It to the Universe is the sixth album by Gothenburg, Sweden rock sextet the Soundtrack of Our Lives. It is a meld of the acoustic and electric rock that TSOOL have utilized somewhat sparingly throughout their career. These 13 well-constructed songs reflect less of the group's debt to early Pink Floyd, and instead explore their long fascination with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, the Band, and the late-era Byrds. They also reveal their interest in the modern-day indie Americana approaches of the National and Grizzly Bear, making this album a refinement of TSOOL's already signature sound.
