Conductor Ensemble Composers

Notes & Reviews:

Doulce Mémoire is synonymous, above all, with energy and team spirit, and with the delight of coming together with the common aim of taking a new look at the sacred and secular music of the Renaissance. The ensemble is a close-knit group of instrumentalists and singers who appear regularly together at major international festivals - Innsbruck, Saintes, Bath, Ambronay and Boston, to name but a few. This new boxed set gathers together some of the group's finest recordings, including several that are only available in this collection.

American Record Guide, November/December 2012
The repertoire in these programs is invariably chosen with great intelligence, offering great deal of rare and otherwise unavailable music, both vocal and instrumental in nice mixes. The sound is invariably vivid. Each disc comes in its original packaging: the box is simply a wrapper. That is important, because each recording comes with a booklet of texts and translations, plus generally good notes.
