Most of Westerhoff's works today are found in the Burgsteinfurt Music Collection. It was here that Kloecker years ago unearthed a clarinet concerto that he no longer had the opportunity to record for CPO. Now he himself has passed the torch (or in this case the clarinet) on to the young ARD prizewinner Sebastian Manz.

Manz plays with great clarity and command, offering a resonant sound, beautiful phrasing, and naturally fluid fingers and articulation. In the Double Concerto, Holder joins the stage, and he complements Manz with a dark German tone and marvelously nimble technique. The Osnabruck Symphony renders each score with the authority and expertise that audiences have come to expect from German orchestras.
