This new release features Finnish RSO under the baton of Sakari Oramo with Symphonies 5 and 6 by Sergei Prokofiev. Sakari Oramo served as chief conductor of the Finnish RSO from 2003 to 2012. In February 2012, he made his debut with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

Aided by a clean and unfussy recorded acoustic, Oramo and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra bring out the work's remarkable colours and character.
