From the Sanskrit word for completion, 'Mandala' refers to a variety of symbols that prevail throughout several spiritual traditions and here evokes meditations on the wholeness of being. Meditations of several faiths and spiritual practices are described here, including verses inspired by Sufism (by director Eric Banks), Hinduism (Roger Nelson and Diane Thome), Taoism (Linda Waterfall, Mark Adamo, and Stephen Paulus), and Buddhism (John Muehleisen and Donald Skirvin). Each of these meditations was composed in the last 15 years, and seven were first premiered in concert by The Esoterics.
