Notes & Reviews:
PentaTone continues the collaboration between Marek Janowski and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande with the release of the 3rd Symphony of Anton Bruckner.
American Record Guide, January/February 2013
So if you want great sound (a little weak in the bass, but so are most of the others), great conducting (but a little on the fast side), and a very good orchestra (even if it's not the Vienna Philharmonic) this is worth considering. And by any standard this series has been excellent.
Gramophone Magazine, December 2012
Bruckner could be impulsive and excitable, and Janowski certainly knows how to generate heat and excitement at the great releases. What a terrific surge he achieves into the coda of the first movement...Those special moments of communion that Bruckner achieves with his audience are beautifully identified by Janowski in the slow movement.
International Record Review
For anyone wanting the 1889 version of Bruckner's Third Symphony in very fine modern sound, this is a serious contender.
