Notes & Reviews:

Although Camille Saint-Saëns ranks among the most notable of French composers, he was also one of the leading pianists of his day - a child prodigy whose virtuosic talent delighted audiences well into his later years. Philippe Entremont has long been admired for his panache in Romantic music. Michel Plasson and the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse complete an all-French line-up.

American Record Guide, January/February 2013
Many collectors are content with the two most played and recorded Saint-Saens concertos, 2 and 5. No. 2 has been recorded 20 or 30 times - and by such luminaries as Gilels, Rubinstein, and Earl Wild. Richter recorded No. 5. Those are all great recordings.
