Notes & Reviews:

Daniel Myssyk and the Appassionata Chamber Orchestra offer a superb audiophile album of Czech romantic works by Antonín Dvorák and Josef Suk. Fedelio Musique's recording technique in 24/192 is identical to the one used by Mercury records during the sixties.

American Record Guide, January/February 2013
Myssyk's charisma isn't the forceful, riveting Authority (with a capital A) of conductors like Solti or Dudamel. Rather, his charisma is based on sheer integrity: nothing is forced, he's not out to prove anything, the flow is bright but never hurried, there's edge when the style calls for it, and all five lines of strings make an unceasing difference in harmony, color, and expression. Since I am a critic who favors exciting sound with lots of motion and gesture, this recording put me off at first, but I quickly caught on to Myssyk's style and grew to enjoy it very much.
