Oldies Party Mix lives up to its name, serving up an upbeat set of '50s and early-'60s hits. Along with can't-miss choices like Chubby Checker's "The Twist," the Chordettes' "Lollipop," and the Champs' "Tequila," the set also includes some less obvious songs like Buddy Holly's "Peggy Sue" and Bobby Darin's "Mack the Knife." Though the Cadillacs' ballad "Gloria" seems like a surprisingly slow choice for a party mix, the rest of the collection offers plenty of sock-hop fun.
