Conductor Gary Bertini studied at the Music Teachers' College in Tel Aviv and then in Milan and at the Paris Conservatoire. He founded the Israel Chamber Choir and Israel Chamber Orchestra and was the conductor of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and artistic director of the New Israeli Opera. He also held positions at orchestras around the world.
