Notes & Reviews:

Here is a beautiful new recording exploring the music and themes of Advent, including some well-known carols and antiphons alongside some newer, less frequently heard pieces. An ideal present!

American Record Guide, November/December 2013
The six-member Queens' Chapel Players includes some who are also choir members. They play two noels of Charpentier in a lushly elegant historically informed manner. The rest of the program is familiar works for the season by Ord, Warlock, Britten, Joubert, and Walton. This mixed choir (8-5-6-8) sings with good balance (altos enhanced by two countertenors) and generally strong ensemble that is clean and clear. The sound is better.
