Andrew May's Imaginary Friends are computer systems that he pairs with himself or other concert performers. The album is a collection of his works spanning roughly 15 years. Most of the music would surely be more impressive in concert. May is probably the person most acquainted with this style of performance. On other pieces the idea is sometimes compelling.
