Album Remarks & Appraisals:
Croatian cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser are back with their new album, IN2ITION, which is certain to take these dynamic artists to new heights of mainstream success. Produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin (Peter Gabriel, KISS, Pink Floyd), IN2ITION takes 2CELLOS' original concept to the next level by including guest artists Elton John, guitarist Steve Vai, Glee's Naya Rivera, classical superstar Lang Lang, legendary Italian vocalist Zucchero and pop artist Sky Ferreira.
IN2ITION offers fresh and unique twists on classics such as Fleetwood Mac's "Oh, Well," The Prodigy's "Voodoo People," Coldplay's "Clocks," Rihanna's "We Found Love," AC/DC's "Highway to Hell," Muse's "Supermassive Black Hole," The Police's "Every Breath You Take" and Elton John's "Candle in the Wind." It also includes 2CELLOS' first original composition, "Orient Express," which draws on melodies from their Balkan roots.
Since the release of 2CELLOS' self-titled debut album in 2011, Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser have established themselves as an innovative classical-pop/rock duo who took their classical instrument into the contemporary repertoire. It all began when Elton John discovered the duo online, after their wildly successful version of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" video went viral worldwide on YouTube. Soon, they were performing in Elton's band and on his worldwide tour as well as opening select shows for him.
After national television appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, 2CELLOS appeared on the monster hit TV show Glee in January 2012. It was the first time that Glee featured an instrumental group guest artist and the new arrangement of their performance of "Smooth Criminal" (with Naya Rivera) debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Digital Songs Chart and catapulted their debut album on to the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

Legendary rock producer Bob Ezrin is at the helm on In2ition, the second release by the Croatian classical crossover duo 2Cellos. Similar to their debut release, In2ition features a wide array of restructured cover versions including "We Found Love" (Rihanna), "Highway to Hell" (AC/DC), "Bang Bang" (Sonny & Cher), and "Orient Express" (Jean Michel Jarre). The guest appearances on this date are just as eclectic as the choice of material. Helping out are Steve Vai, Lang Lang, Naya Rivera, Karl Jenkins, Zucchero, and Elton John, who is such a fan he had the duo open for him on his 2011 summer tour. ~ Al Campbell
