Notes & Reviews:
Lydia Jardon is a woman who loves a challenge; connoisseurs of French piano music are quite familiar with her taste for the impossible, her ability to undertake unexpected projects, and to embody the most difficult scores with pure poetry. She now attacks Stravinsky's Firebird, in the formidable version for piano that the composer left; this is only the second recording of this transcription!
Notes & Reviews:Personnel: Shigeru Kawai (piano).
