Notes & Reviews:

Kerker seems not to have existed at all, but his birth (1847) is documented in the registry and when he died (1923), the NY Times published a long article commemorating his life and work. Berlin's Metropol-Theater commissioned him to compose a German-language work High Society. As the Hanover concert demonstrated, Kerker's captivating music has lost none of its public impact.
