Released three weeks prior to Valentine's Day 2013, Now That's What I Call Love Songs compiles 18 contemporary hits dating back to Coldplay's "Fix You" (2005). It boasts six singles that reached the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100 chart: Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are," Jason Mraz's "I Won't Give Up," Alex Clare's "Too Close," Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away," Lady Gaga's "Yoü and I," and the Wanted's "Glad You Came." Most of what remains should be familiar as well, since everything but OneRepublic's "All This Time" -- an album cut -- reached the chart. There's a rather broad mix of love songs here, at least in terms of sentiments. Anyone who gives this to a significant other should probably designate which songs apply, lest the recipient read too much into some of the lyrics, like those of the Train song. ~ Andy Kellman
