Notes & Reviews:

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is considered one of the greatest composers of all time. In his relatively short life he contributed to every style of composition. Credited with the invention of the piano concerto, his distinctive style and developments in orchestration brought new sophistication to the music of the Classical period.

American Record Guide, July/August 2013
The 2-Piano Concerto is like a shot of adrenalin in the two outer movements. With pianos and a modern orchestra, the playing is alert, crisp, rhythmically tight, supremely articulated, exquisitely phrased, and pungent. The flow is steady. In Rondo K 382 Annerose Schmidt has a much warmer tone and style, shaping phrases with more of an embrace and allowing her steady tempos to yield graciously at transition points. In K 386 her tone is just as lovely. Masur gets lovely playing from the orchestra in both works, and the engineering is warm and balanced.
