Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, September/October 2013
This is the most compelling interpretation I've heard of these concertos and is the one I have enjoyed the most. Sinkovsky is awesome - what else can I say? I watched a short Youtube interview with Sinkovsky about this recording where he said that he strongly identifies with Vivaldi's music, that it enters into his soul and fits his personality.

Gramophone Magazine, June 2013
There is something of the operatic in the way these performances have been conceived...the range of colours, dynamics and expressive fluctuations in tempi on offer wouldn't be out of place painting words.

MusicWeb International, 21st June 2013
An album which begins so thunderously, so excitingly, that you'll swear there are percussion players in the band...Surprises and delights abound.

International Record Review, July/August 2013
Sinkovsky directs the excellent ensemble Il Pomo d'Oro, rises to the occasion with solar radiance, dazzling us with his virtuosity and touching our sensibilities with his intuitive feeling for affecting ornaments, just as we may imagine that Vivaldi and Pisendel once upon a time wowed their audiences.
