Notes & Reviews:
Legendary voices like Ingeborg Danz and Andreas Schmidt. Re-release of a Hänssler Classic bestseller. "A great deal in its favor" (Gramophone)
American Record Guide, July/August 2013
The performance has a crisp, old-fashioned grandeur. Chorus and orchestra each number about 45. Rilling loves Haydn's orchestral colors and accents. So it's a good, solid performance. The Adam and Eve duet is performed complete.
Personnel: Christine Schäfer (soprano); Michael Schade (tenor); Andreas Schmidt (bass voice).
Recording information: Groáer Saal, Stadthalle Sindelfingen (09/27/1993-09/30/1993).
