Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, September/October 2013
David Finko was born in Leningrad in 1936; he studied piano and accordion. The Viola Concerto (1971) is fraught with gloom and tension and is a representation of artists' suffering under the Soviets. The Piano Concerto is a bewildering journey through a threatening landscape. There's more of a sense of structure. The Piccolo Concerto opens sounding like a legal document trying to be funny; there is some appealing writing for the soloists and strings.
