Duo Landon began in 2005 when the French-born violin maker Christophe Landon commissioned the two members of the Duo to record Bartok's 44 Duos. After this successful debut, the Duo began looking for repertoire from Icelandic composers. They found only three, and subsequently commissioned three other composers to write duos for them, all of which are included on this recording.
