Notes & Reviews:

Since winning first prize at the international ARD Competition 2010, at which he also won the audience prize, the Oehms Classics Special Prize and the special prize of the Munich Chamber Orchestra, Julian Steckel has been one of the most sought-after cellists in the world.

American Record Guide, September/October 2013
On the other hand, Steckel and Ravinius do as well on the Rachmaninoff and add the famous Vocalise to their program while giving us also an outstanding poetic reading of Prokofieff's fine late sonata. Their recorded sound is a bit richer as well.
