Notes & Reviews:

Giuseppe Tartini (1692 - 1770) had a considerable number of pupils, forming a veritable violin school, the most famous in 18th-century Europe. It was a largely international one and won him the name of "Master of the Nations".

American Record Guide, November/December 2013
This program demonstrates the transition from the Italian Continuo Sonata to the later 18th-Century Duo Sonata in full-blown sonata form. It is also an example of exquisite violin playing and some of the most subtle and inventive continuo realizations I have heard.
