Performers Ensembles Composers

Notes & Reviews:

Music represents a dialogue between composer and listener, channeled through performance and observation. Much like in spoken conversation, the works in PERCEPTIONS presents us with the revealing perspectives of their composers as told through small ensembles.

American Record Guide, September/October 2013
'Daisy's Aria' is lush, with gently contoured dynamics shaping the tonal melodies. 'Grind' finishes the four-movement work with a herky-jerky feeling driven by the vigorous downbows. Thomas Read's Capricci is the only chamber piece on the program with more than four players: it adds a guitar to a string quartet. The tone is light.
