Notes & Reviews:

With this new release the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir under Daniel Reuss pay tribute to Max Reger (1873-1916) and Rudolf Tobias (1873-1918), a composer of the classical-romantic tradition and associated with the beginning of professional composition in Estonia.

Gramophone Magazine, September 2013
Stylistically, [Tobias] is a sort of Baltic Bairstow...transcendental without being revolutionary, intimate, not vain, and highly responsive to text and atmosphere. Reger, by contrast, favours more luxuriant textures...the Estonian choristers relish the curvaceous lines of the Op. 6 songs.
