Album Remarks & Appraisals:
The MAXJAZZ string series presents bassist and composer Ben Wolfe's new recording From Here I See. Featuring all original compositions presented in a standard jazz quartet, most ballads feature an additional string quartet or special guest. Legendary saxophonist Branford Marsalis said, 'This is a recording that I have enjoyed listening to over and over. I hope you find the same enjoyment in it that I have.' Wolfe has played with jazz artists including Harry Connick, Jr., Diana Krall and Wynton Marsalis.
