Mozart The Magic Flute
This performance does not get the credit it deserves. Recorded in 1991 and led by James Levine at the Metropolitan Opera House. It has no wea siingers (Battle, Serra, Araiza, Moll, Kilduff). I know this is not an allstar cast but Levine, the Met chorus and cast really come through and givea wonderful performance. Having recently returned from Vienna and having seen this opera there, I believe this DVD is superior.
