Notes & Reviews:
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Lorenzo da Ponte's first collaboration, 'Le Nozze di Figaro,' was a great musical success - not only does the music show Mozart at his finest but da Ponte created a complex, fascinating figure in the infamous Don. The success of 'Le Nozze di Figaro' led to the commissioning of 'Don Giovanni'. This drama is cast in two acts with an overall duration of 150 minutes, but the speed of its dramatic and musical actions ensures that every minute is not only indispensable, but also always thoroughly enjoyable.
