Notes & Reviews:
A thousand years of music history merge together: in the Missa Credo Ulrich Zeitler combines Gregorian melodies from the medieval church with contemporary jazz. The outstanding quality of the performers makes this interesting experiment an inspiring experience. Bernhard Klas on the saxophone and Helmut Lörscher on the piano are masters of the stylistically linked improvisational method occupying a significant space in the Missa Credo. Maria Bernius and the Ensemble 333 assume responsibility for the more traditional part conducted by Ulrich Zeitler himself. Moreover, the presentation of shorter solos demonstrates the great flexibility of this vocal ensemble brought together especially for the Missa Credo.
Dual layer hybrid SACD playable on all CD players.
