The horn playing on this recording is exquisite! Featuring virtuoso romantic music for four horns, this release is a kaleidoscope of brilliant sounds. The centerpiece of this disc is formed by the three Horn Quartets by Richard Strauss's father, Franz, who was one of the top horn players in the world. I can't imagine anyone not responding to this wonderful recording!
