"The Resurrection", of 1761, is one of Telemans last oratorios and exhibits how innovative his art could be. The remainder of the program includes one of Telemann's delightful occasional works, this time a Birthday Cantata composed for King Frederick V of Denmark. Both performances are wonderful, and will thrill any collector of Baroque vocal music.
