Remarks:
Paul Hindemith completed his Kleine Kammermusik in 1922, with the intention of sweeping away the cobwebs of the late-romantic era, and two years later Czech composer Leos Janacek brought a new sound spectrum to the wind quintet with his enchanting score, 'Mladi' (Youth). The Michael Thompson Wind Quintet makes a strong argument here that they are the world's greatest such ensemble. Especially given the asking price, there is no need to hesitate.Reviews
