Eespere: Invocatio - New Choral Music form Estonia / Uleoja

Notes & Reviews:

Ren Eespere was born in Tallinn on December 14th, 1953, and studied composition at the Estonian Music Academy and at the Moscow Conservatory. He is a prolific and versatile composer. The choir has become an important medium for Eespere, not least because his wife is a choir director, which has given him wonderful opportunities to experiment with choral sound. Most of the works on this CD are dreamy and atmospheric, employing harp and light percussion to effective result.
