Album Summary
Performer
Ivan Moravec (Piano)
Notes & Reviews:
These recordings from 1976 (Schumann Piano Concerto and the Franck Symphonic Variations) and 1987 (Schumann Kinderszenen) have been out of the catalog for several years. They are reissued here at an attractive mid-price. Moravec, who has enjoyed a long successful career, was recently honored with "best recording in the field of 18th-century music" at the MIDEM Festival in Cannes for his Mozart Piano Concerto album [HAN 98.142] with Neville Marriner and the Academy of St. Martin.
