Album Summary
Ensemble ComposersNotes & Reviews:
Founded at the suggestion of Pierre Boulez just over four decades ago, Les Percussions de Strasbourg created an instant sensation, and are largely responsible for building a significant postwar repertoire of ensemble music for and with percussion. Two of their most spectacular recordings were recorded for eventual release in quadrophonic, and now can at last be heard as they were intended - in thrilling surround sound.
