Notes & Reviews:

Leopold Mozart was a fine musician and composer, widely admired and only forgotten because of his even more brilliant son, Wolfgang Amadeus. He wrote approximately 70 symphonies of his own, some of which have been lost, and they apparently made a great impression on his son. In Wolfgangs earliest symphonies, written in his childhood, strong influences of his father are recognizable. The Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra Vilnius was founded 30 years ago. Their collaboration with conductor Georg Mais began in 1994 with numerous concerts in Lithuania and central Europe.
