Eisler: Deutsche Sinfonie / Inbal, et al

Album Summary

Performers Conductor Ensembles Composer

Notes & Reviews:

Hanns Eisler, a pupil of Arnold Schoenberg, wrote the Deutsche Sinfonie as a plea against the terrible events surrounding World War II. Set to the text by his friend Berthold Brecht, the moving work showcases Eislers twelve-tone style of composition. This Radio France production, where Myung-Whun Chung is Music Director, is actually lead by Eliahu Inbal.
