This string quartet tribute to the Northwest grunge phenomenon Pearl Jam contains a variety of intriguing reworkings of some of the Seattle band's best-known songs, including the classical hoedown of "Even Flow," and a particularly inspired "Better Man," its pretty melody brought into sharp focus by a solo violin. This collection stands up equally well as an interesting new way to listen to the groundbreaking outfit's material, and in its own right as a listenable series of neo-classical sketches.
